US Interceptor Stocks Depleted in Iran Missile Attacks

The Missile Arms Race: A Shrinking US Lead The dust has settled on the latest skirmish between American forces and Iran's ballistic missile program, revealing a worrying trend – the depletion of Patriot and THAAD interceptors, leaving US assets increasingly vulnerable to Iranian aggression.

Recent attacks have highlighted this issue, with 60 70 Patriot interceptors expended against just 20 Iranian missiles in last week's attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, supplemented by an additional dozen or so THAAD interceptors.

This scale of expenditure is roughly equivalent to what US forces had previously expended over an entire week in combat situations.
