Germans Hogging the Sunloungers? Poll Finds Italians and French Are Worse The notion that Germans are sunlounger hoggers has long been a staple of British humor and stereotype.
However, recent polling by YouGov reveals that this behavior is not unique to them. In fact, Italian and French tourists are just as guilty, if not more so.
According to the poll, 45% of Italian and 38% of German holidaymakers admit to reserving a lounger with a towel, while Britons were the least likely to do so (33%).
