War, Alliances, and the Shifting Sands of the Middle East The recent revelation that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited the UAE during the war with Iran has shed new light on the complex web of alliances in the region.

According to a statement from Netanyahu's office, the meeting between Netanyahu and Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed resulted in a "historic breakthrough" in relations between Israel and the UAE.
