Latinx Employee Association
The purpose of the Latinx Employee Association (LEA) at Western Michigan University (WMU) is to support the recognition and advancement of Latinx faculty, staff, and students (Latinx Community).
We plan to accomplish the following goals:
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Become an established and recognized resource for the Latinx community
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Strengthen networking of the Latinx community with other stakeholders
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Organize listening sessions to understand issues in the Latinx communityÌý
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Recommend and advocate for initiatives that address Latinx needs on campus
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Support efforts for recruitment and retention of Latinx students, staff, and faculty
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Advocate for initiatives that increase academic advancement of the Latinx communityÌý
